Torrential downpours, 3 hour power outage and no phone service were all challenges faced during Chelsea and Jake's big day. Fortunately, the wedding took place at Chelsea's family owned camp on a beautiful piece of property in Pennsylvania. I couldn't have asked for a better couple to work with and a great group that didn't let a little rain ruin the celebration! Some of these are definitely my favorite images so far this year!
I visited the small town of Minerva to photograph Shanna and Dustin's engagement photos. They chose the Minerva Homecoming as the backdrop since that was where they had their first date. We were all very happy with the results from the mini session!
On one of the hottest days of the year I had an awesome couple and bridal party that toughed out the heat to get some great photos!
It's not everyday that I get the opportunity to travel out of state to capture a wedding day, but when I do it's always a blast! For Josh & McKinley's big day I got to visit a secluded piece of land in a small town near Wilmington, NC. The meticulous DIY setup of the property, and sweet tea of course, reflected the Southern charm I'm always after when in the Carolinas. It was great to be a part of two tight-knit loving families from different continents (Josh's family is from South Africa) bonding together!
I've been slacking a bit on the blog updates, so it's about time to get caught up!
Here are a few from Guillermo & Erin's big day earlier this spring.
Photos were taken at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Grafton and The George Clifton Barn at Olde Avon Village. The Clifton is a great venue for smaller weddings!
Every now and then I get the opportunity to get out of town to photograph a wedding. Erika & Andy's wedding took place at the Olde Gahanna Sanctuary in the City of Gahanna, Ohio, just to the northeast of Columbus. This was the second time I had visited the venue for a wedding. Fortunately, the weather was unseasonably pleasant for January! Here are some of my favorites from the day!
Outdoor engagement photos during the winter in NEO are always a bit of a challenge. It's a race to get them all done before your face turns red and you cant feel your hands! Fortunately, we managed to stay warm enough to get some great shots. Rachael & Jayme's dog Ryman, was awesome in front of the camera as well! I can't wait to photograph their big day this October down in the Flats!
All photos were taken at David Fortier Park in Olmsted Falls, OH
The first wedding of my 2018 season took place at the Happy Days Lodge in Peninsula, Ohio. The day was by far the worst weather I've experienced on a wedding day! Rain started off the morning, turning to ice, then covering the ground with a few inches of snow! Even though the weather did not cooperate, everyone still had a great attitude and a fantastic time celebrating Lindsay & Leigha!
During the reception I had an opportunity to check out one of the best photo booths I've ever seen at a wedding. High quality photos, great props and an awesome scrapbook with copies of the photos for the newlyweds. If you're in the market for a photo booth check out Black Tie Entertainment's option at www.blacktiephotobooth.us !
Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day!
